Two workflows

One app, two very different inspections

Line Patrol happens live, in the air. Pole Inspection is thorough follow-up work on the ground. strøm.app is built around the fact that these are two different jobs — not one.

Line Patrol

Annual visual inspection of high-voltage lines from a helicopter. The technician on board records defects on an iPad in real time, with built-in connectivity to AirNav Pro for navigation and tracking.

During the flight, defects are recorded directly on the tablet — fault type, severity (1–3), comment, photos
Serious defects are reported the same day to operations control
After the flight: sync from tablet to strøm.app — technician verifies the result on a PC

The report is delivered as Excel according to the grid company's template format.

Pole Inspection

Statutory ten-year inspection of the top of every pole. The helicopter photographs every pole (2–6 photos per pole per REN standard 8070), and a technician analyses the photos afterwards on a PC.
